Our Journey to a Sustainable Future

We are pleased to share a significant step forward in our commitment to sustainability goals and excellence in workplace environment. As part of the ongoing initiatives, we are actively pursuing to add to our sustainability goals for our facilities across various criteria, including energy efficiency, water usage, sustainable materials, indoor environmental quality, and innovative design strategies.

1

Environmental Considerations

Achieving LEED Gold certification requires a comprehensive approach to environmental considerations. This includes enhancing water efficiency, energy performance, indoor air quality, and lighting. These elements are crucial because they reduce our overall environmental footprint, promote a healthier workplace, and lead to significant cost savings through efficient resource management.

Water Efficiency

Water Efficiency

Targeting a 40% reduction in water usage across our facilities through water management devices.

Energy Performance

Energy Performance

Minimizing our office energy consumption by using Energy Star certified equipment for over 90% of newly installed products.

Indoor Air Quality Sensor

Indoor Air Quality Sensor

Actively monitoring indoor air quality across multiple sensors in the office to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our people.

Smart Lighting System

Smart Lighting System

Adopting high-efficiency lighting fixtures to reduce lighting power density by over 25%.

2

Recyclables

Through the proper storage, collection, and management of recyclables, we aim to minimize waste being sent to the landfills, reduce greenhouse gases, and conserve our natural resources. These practices support a circular economy and demonstrate our commitment to sustainable operations.

Food Waste Management

Chop Value

What is ChopValue?

Crafted entirely from recycled bamboo chopsticks, ChopValue embodies the principles of the circular economy, turning what was once waste into a stylish and durable piece of furniture. In Nomura too, table-tops were created using this idea.

Carbon Negative Production

This means that more carbon dioxide is removed from the environment than is emitted during its production. Specifically, for every cubic meter of material produced, ~390 kg of CO2 emissions are saved!

High-Performance Material

The recycled chopsticks are transformed into a high-density composite material using heat, steam, and pressure. This process creates a material that is harder than maple, stronger than oak, and as durable as teak.
